i've been dreaming oddly pleasant dreams..
although i can't remember details of them (except for the one last night which i'll share in just awhile), they had a generally pleasant feel
you must be wondering why i think my dreams were oddly pleasant.
that's coz i've always had really weird and sometimes violent dreams -
i've witnessed a beheading of a friend, strangled/drowned someone, people getting stabbed and feeling blood all over me..etc..
yep.
i'm not a psycho..i just get really graphic dreams sometimes that i can't explain!
the last few dreams revolved around very mundane, everyday normal things
although some details were alittle off but it felt very real
they left me waking up confused, not knowing whether i was dreaming or it really happened.
so on to the dream last night.
i couldn't believe it when i woke up..the first thought that came to mind was..
"did i just dream of Jonathan Leong?!"
it was a nice dream actually..although really weird that i would dream of a Singapore Idol contestant i'm not even rooting for! (my fave is Hady)
i can remember too many details..silly details like what he said to me and him going for a driving test which he passed (like what the hell?!).. taking a bus..and the never-ending spiral steps leading downwards to his house and bird pooping on me -_-!
too weird and too real
that's quite a challenge for a dream interpreter eh?
bleh! now i have to mentally make an effort to stop his face from popping into my head! bleh!
not that i dislike him or anything..its just weird laa..
to dream of someone like that so suddenly! =P

i really got into his music lately, after i finally found a copy of his album selling cheaply online, and i think he's brilliant!

Asshole of the Week
i encoutered the worst 'Engineering Surveyor' early this week.
he behaves like a complete asshole who seems to find joy in creating trouble for companies he's 'surveying'. he's also one heck of an inflexible person..i guess his old age explains that -_-
this uncle..was employed by a client of ours to ensure that we're providing quality products. so over the last few weeks, we have been churning out quite abit of paperwork for them. i was assigned to design and fill out a welding log sheet..with whatever info i get from production. my knowledge of welding is limited but least i was sure i knew what i was writing on the form.
so the man called on monday..asked to speak to my mum ( i work for my parents) - she wasn't there. then he asked to speak to my dad - he wasn't in the office either.
here's a bit of phone conversation #1
ES (engineering surveryor) : who am i speaking to?
Me : this is Cheryl
ES : oh so you're the designer?
Me : *hesitates* erm ya..?
( i regretted that coz i'm only the draftsman..the designer is probably somewhere in saudi arabia..)
ES : ok your form right? you wrote FW and BW..what does that stand for?
Me : FW? is fillet weld and BW is butt weld
ES : so this fillet weld for the socket is bleh bleh bleh, bleh bleh
( this is where i lose him..didn't know what he was trying to get at )
Me : Uh-huh..
( i was hoping he will go on and i can take a msg or something )
ES : Do you know what i'm talking about..?

( my mum went on to tell him there's no full penetration for the weld in question..among other things. she doesn't like to deal with him either..)
i was pissed off! did he not hear when i said i'm not part of production and i'm only responsible for the form and the form alone? or did he hear it and was doing this delibrately coz he thinks i'm a girl and i'm useless when it comes to engineering stuff?!
the next day,
our client called..he spoke to my mum and my name was mentioned.
so after the call i asked why?
according to my mum, the brilliant ES told our client
"Cheryl said that there was full penetration for the weld in question."
GREAT JOB MR ES
he twisted my mum's words and framed me.

after a discussion with my dad..i finally understood the whole concept of a full penetration weld and my goodness
ES is such a turd!
even me who had no previous training or knowledge of welding could deduce that such welding is not possible for this particular joint he was asking about!!
i won't bore you by trying to explain why it's not possible.. =P
but he follows engineering theories blindly and he doesn't actually use his logic
stupid.
other than this episode, he picks on small issues that doesn't affect the quality of our product.
i mean if there was any mistake that compromised the stability or whatever of the structure then yes..we will do everything we can to correct the issue
but no..there was no such issue.
ergh. so not professional. so tactless.

we came back to our estate and saw THIS
a mitsubishi colt parked right smack in the center of 2 lots!
*silent scream*
i managed to find another lot for our car..got out..stormed over and found out this driver..whoever he or she is..isn't a resident of our estate.
he/she also doesn't live in HDB flats..that explains alot.
he/she probably lives in a bloody house with a bloody driveway so he/she bloody doesn't know what to do when faced with marked boundaries.
oh and i didn't bother blurring out the license plate..i mean why not?

i hate such lousy driving/parking ethics.
they don't give a shit whatsoever to anyone else but themselves.

you wouldn't believe what i did last night
i actually logged on to the mediacorp forums and addressed Joakim Gomez's fans.
yepppp
i told them more or less what i blogged earlier but i took out all the insults
there was no slamming of Joakim, no slamming of fans
just told them to rethink their plans and stop voting laa since he's seriously not cut out for singing.
i was expecting some rebuttal from Joakim's die hard fans
but i was quite pleasant surprised when one fan agreed that some of them actually vote blindly.
it went quite ok until the 'super moderator' of the forum decided to slam me back
mind you, i didn't intend to start a war..just wanted to get my opinion out there
but i couldn't just stand there and let some dude insult me when i didn't even insult his precious Joakim.
he slams me for apparently no particular reason
he classified me as one of 'MANY girls' that like Jason Mraz..that really pissed me off coz i think i can safely say i'm one of Mraz's earliest Singaporean fans..not that it makes me superior but i hate it when i'm classified along with the masses
so the whole thing went on for a few pages
until i decided that i had enough.
coz he's the sort that doesn't get his facts right before he starts arguing
i toyed with the idea of disecting all his words and coming up with a post that highlighted all his unfounded criticism and whatever shit he has but i decided that i have better things to do than to waste my time typing a crap load of stuff about someone.

Half satisfied food cravings..
i finally had my Cold Cut Trio 2 days ago!
no vanilla coke but coke was still fine!
& my little bag of chips.
YUM. i had to ask the sandwich girl twice to add more ingredients in my sandwich though..once for more lettuce ( she gave me a tiny handful at first..covered half my sandwich..) and a second time for more capsicum ( she gave me 4-5 little strips..? i love capsicum..green, red, orange or yellow..i liiiikeee. )

RAHIMAH GOT BOOTED OUT OF SINGAPORE IDOL?!!
WHAT THE HELL?!
DID ANYONE SEE HIM SLAUGHTER YET ANOTHER SONG?!

ALL 4 JUDGES HAD NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT HIM!
i honestly think they have had enough of seeing his TALENTLESS SELF PRANCING AROUND ON STAGE TRYING TO BE AN IDOL.

all i can say is joakim fans are totally deaf, hopelessly infatuated, completely delusional & bloody filthy rich
and joakim..he should just be gracious & bow out of the competition..tell his fans to stop wasting time & money. let him go for goodness sakes!
he can't make it.. someone needs to strap him to a chair & play (on repeat) all his performances to date until he realises the pain he has inflicted on the ears of thousands and begs for forgiveness.

BLEURGH! left me unsatisfied & with a sour stomach -_-
the only good thing about dinner? other than meetinng my friend..was the very polite manager! very nice..very good service..he didn't speak alot but his good attitude just shows in his actions! very good!
he even offereed to help me throw away the plastic wrap for my chopsticks!
so i guess no more tom yum for me for now..

sorry dude..the geek that rocks the pink tee best has to be mraz. but then again..i'm a fan so i'm naturally biased.
anyway that's not the point.

poor tb got a HUGE scolding from my mum coz i couldn't take his nonsense anymore.
he once again dialled my no. while he was trying to order coffee
and for what? i still don't know.
this time he really crossed the line. staring is harmless but if he's gonna call me everytime he uses the bloody phone..it's practically harrassment!
so i told my mum..
can you just do something already? he crossed the line..you don't have to scold him..you just have to ask him "did you steal my daughter's number from my phone?"
i was sure that was enough to shut him up and leave him super embarrassed.
the next thing i know..my mum is confronting him..asked him that exact question.
he kept silent - a sure sigh of guilt
he didn't even try to explain himself.
everything happened quite quickly and all i could hear was my mum shouting at him ( i think she was really sick of his nonsense & hearing me complain abt him )
really insult him..say he's ungentlemanly - dunno how to own up to his own shit ; something about harrassment & why he has to harrass me ; she also asked him WHY he took the no.
his answer to that?
"i just wanted to check whose number it is"
BULLSHIT
i had to tell my mum to calm down and stop scolding already
there was no need to hear more crap from him.
not only does he have no balls to admit to his actions, he can't even come up with a believeable explanation for his dumb behaviour?
he apologised..profusely..to my mum
then to me
as if that's gonna change anything?
what matters is he stops his nonsense..otherwise apologies don't mean anything

a few days have passed since that confrontation.
and there's finally peace in the office
he doesn't even dare come near me or my mum..it's ridiculous
but better he stays that way
so i can FINALLY say THAT was the concluding episode abt tb's nonsense.
