you wouldn't believe..

what i saw in the cubicle i went into last friday..


yes. that's a used baby diaper carelessly thrown against the wall.
at first i thought it might be one of those incontinence pads..but no..there were baby blue kiddy prints on it..

i'm so ashamed of the mother who did that..it's so IRRESPONSIBLE.

she not only doesn't know how to bloody wrap a used diaper properly..she doesn't know how to properly dispose of it.
it's horrible.

i do hope that she didn't attempt to change her baby's diaper with her baby resting on top of the toilet.. no matter how well maintained marina square toilet was - it's so unhygenic!!
does she not realise that's what FAMILY/BABY ROOMS are for?
so she can comfortably change and chuck her baby's diaper into the available bins?

stupid.
she obviously only cares about herself and does things at her own convenience..

and she bloody has to raise a child?!
no wonder kids are getting more and more monstrous and mannerless these days..

*shakes head in disappointment*

talking about monstrous kids..
i got prank called on saturday night.
in the midst of blow drying my hair..my phone rang..'private number'
i thought it was weird but i picked up anyway..

all i heard was - "Fuckyouslut"

yes the little girl on the other line..she sounds no more than 16.. .
said it so fast i could hardly make out what she said

alright..on to the next thing..
last week while browsing through my friend's blog..i followed a link to a certain very famous local blogger who is about to host her own show..yes..THAT one..

i think her blog is overhyped..but she has quite a following.

while i was there..i chanced upon something she wrote and was infuriated.
in one of her september posts..she wrote about weak women, how she hates women who don't know how to stand up for themselves. she listed 2 examples - one was about a docile pet of a girlfriend this MCP friend of hers has.. and another about a poor woman who only watches and cries as her husband cheats with their maid.
ok..so she has a point.
women should always stand up for themselves. but then again, sometimes they really don't know or can't find that extra support they need. so you can't always blame someone who chooses to sit back or cry about it?
but anyway that's not the point.
after writing about those 2 stories, while she's concluding..
she writes in BIG BOLD LETTERS about why should we allow ourselves to be circumcised.

i was like..."whaatt....??????"

that was what pissed me off.

female genital circumcision (FGC) is still practiced in the world. i won't go into detail..it's too cruel. here's a link if you wanna read just alittle more about it at Wikipedia
such rituals are done partly coz it's suposed to be more hygenic but also coz it apparently suppresses sexual desires in women.

i've heard many horror stories about such procedures..where the procedure is carried out in unsanitised places and the use of (gulp!) rusty instruments.
girls have died from this totally unnecessary ritual.

i thought it was totally insensitive for this young woman whose words reach so many to write about it as though it can solved simply by standing up and refusing it.
it's not so simple. women and girls who are subject to such rituals usually come from very rural tribes..where women basically have no say. they barely have any status in the tribes or communities.
how then does anyone expect them to fight when they are not given the basic rights to choose? even if they do protest, they will go unheard.

so can one still classify these women as weak..?
